Add hot water to the pot and a pinch of salt. Boil the penne pasta until it reaches your preferred doneness.
In a pan, heat a little oil and fry the bacon. When bacon changes color, add the chopped onions.
Once the onions soften, pour in the carbonara pasta sauce. When the sauce begins to boil, add the penne. Stir well then sprinkle with parsley flakes before serving.
